In February 2010, Tyler Kohlhoff asked me to create a poster for his installation at Tribute Gallery. The show was a collection of photographs of titled Inland Empires which were interior images of homes and their surroundings in Southern California and Nevada. I wanted to create a poster without

using photographic images and use simple, yet bold elements to construct a visual identity for the opening reception. I drafted 60 finished versions of the poster playing with different combinations of the same visual elements. Below are my seven favorites.
