(Viewed best on light background.) Boomkat has described Gouseion's music as "cognac-laced machine funk," the beats hard, glitched, and undoubtedly, IDM in style.  I came across this artist's music a year prior to being offered the opportunity create artwork for his EP, More Friends for the Fire.  It was an automatic consensus that Gouseion's glitchy swing fit well with my hyper-textured graphic work. We both felt the colors and shapes of the artwork needed to be sharp and vibrant in order to reflect aspects of the music's Pop

sensibility. The typographic elements placed with the artwork needed to “rub” well against a highly energetic composition. I displayed Gouesion's name and track listing in Agostina, a sans serif typeface with subtle retro qualities.
