(Viewed best on light background.) Often when making graphic compositions, I'll work on several pieces at a time, saving different arrangements from the start of a composition to its completion. The compositions above were composed in a two week period in preparation for a group show at Disjecta. The gallery space allowed me to advance my experiments
with screen printing vertically over large areas. The finished piece was a 15 foot, three-color print applied in six sections over two days. The graphics used in these compositions are all shapes created from photographs of architecture I took in a three day period in downtown Portland.
